Diabetes is a globally known health condition that affects so many people and can also prove fatal if not treated properly. Since my childhood, it was very difficult for me to understand why my grandmother always tortured herself with a syringe multiple times a day. It got, even more, scarier for the kids when they realize, you’re not allowed to eat all those sugary treats anymore. Diabetes is, even more, scarier for the one who is suffering from it.
Diabetes, if calculates in a mass, does not affect more than one in every 10-34 million in total. There are multiple forms of diabetes and all of them cause approximately 80,000 deaths per year. This cause of fatality is the sixth leading cause all around the world.
According to the research posted by Medical News Today, the people who suffer from type 2 diabetes are often at the risk of other health conditions, such as cancer, bone fracture, dementia, and circulatory diseases.
But, there has been a new study that shows that consumption of coffee and green tea can significantly reduce the mortality rate for those with type 2 diabetes.
How Does Coffee Help With Diabetes?
According to a study that is still under works, which is specifically working to assess the impact of medication and lifestyle on diabetes outcomes is not working to assess how, in particular, green tea and coffee affect overall mortality rate.
It says that for people with diabetes, the consumption can be two or more cups of coffee daily or four or more cups of green tea.
All the 5000 people who have type 2 diabetes are being tracked by health officials for the last 5 years shows that a total of 309 people have died. Amongst them, who consumed 1-2 cups of coffee and 2-3 cups of green tea are at less risk of fatality.
The people who have been consuming coffee and green tea regularly showed 41% and 40%, respectively, a decrease in mortality risk. Moreover, it is said that there’s a multiplier effect of consuming both beverages regularly.
It is said that 2-3 cups of green tea plus 2+ cups of coffee daily showed a 51% decrease, 4+ cups of green tea and one cup of coffee had 58% whereas 4+ cups of green tea and 2+ cups of coffee daily had an astounding 63% drop in mortality for those surveyed.
What Amount Of Caffeine Can A Diabetic Person Consume?
According to this new study, it is also said that the amount of caffeine to be consumed by a diabetic person should be limited. the recommended amount of coffee and green tea is ideally between 2-4 cups, depending on the taste of the person.
So, if you are already consuming the right amount of coffee and green tea regularly then there is nothing really to change in your day-to-day routine. As much as coffee has proved to be beneficial, green tea is equally effective and gives you an extra choice of taste.
Is Bulletproof Coffee Recommended For Type 2 Diabetes Patients?
Bulletproof coffee is said to improve energy levels and also, aids weight loss. It is low in carbs, high in fat content, and makes a really good combination to be consumed by people with type 2 diabetes. The fat keeps you feeling full for ages, and a carbohydrate-free breakfast makes blood glucose control easier. So YES! get yourself a bulletproof coffee!
