Eid ul Azha is just around the corner, Marham wishes you a very happy Eid in advance. This occasion is all about sacrifice and sharing happiness among each other. So this Eid do remember your relatives and needy people and share meat among each other.
Now the real question arises in this extreme humid weather how meat can be stored so that it doesn’t get perished and can be shared? Don’t worry; Marham is here to rescue you all over again.
To save meat from contamination and bacterial attack, it should be stored properly. We are here to share some incredible tips that can help you store meat safely and without much hassle:
Airtight Packaging
If some of your relatives live far from your house and you want to save meat for them; then seal the meat in an airtight packets before freezing. And guess what! It can last quite few months in your freezer.
Set Freezing temperature
It matters! In order to increase shelf life of meat and to retain its nutrients keep your refrigerator around 1.2 degrees Celsius which is just above freezing point. This technique will freeze the meat and it will be fresh when you will cook it.
Freezing technique
Instead of storing big chunks of meat, try to cut meat into small pieces and then store it. This will not only utilize less space of your freezer but also when you will take it out to cook you don’t have to go through from the hassle of cutting it into small pieces. All you will have to do is “Defrost and Cook”. Try this technique and you can always thank us later.
Perfect storage
Meat in the freezer can last over three months if it’s not exposed to the air. For that you can wrap meet either in a Plastic wrap or most preferably Freezer paper. To ensure its complete storage; first wrap it in a freezer paper and then in a layer of Aluminum foil and you are done. This technique is foolproof and you can enjoy the taste of fresh meat even after few months.
Eid is all about sharing happiness and it’s about sacrifice. So be a Marham (Band aid) for someone during this Eid either by providing them with food, clothes, money or simply by giving time to the needy ones. Have a wonderful Eid.
